Holistic means "wholeness" and is an approach to yoga which encourages peace of mind, optimum health and well being. All aspects of the individual are nourished and balanced through the integration of physical, mental and spiritual self-development. As well as learning the yoga postures, there is also an opportunity to learn about breathing & purification techniques, meditation, deep relaxation as well as the underlying philosophy of yoga. A holistic approach encourages the yoga practitioner to adapt the techniques according to their unique individual requirements. This approach is free from dogma and is accessible to everyone regardless of age, flexibility, fitness or previous experience.
